Summit Mohs Dermatology provides focused evaluation of suspicious and concerning skin lesions. Our practice specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin cancer, including biopsy, pathology review, and coordinated treatment when advanced care is needed.
For patients referred by dermatologists, we provide surgical consultation and treatment, then return patients to their primary dermatologist for ongoing care.
For patients referred by primary care providers, we offer complete evaluation and biopsy of suspicious lesions with clear follow-up recommendations.
We provide comprehensive evaluation of lesions that may represent skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Each examination is centered on identifying high-risk features and determining whether biopsy or surgical treatment is warranted.
New, growing, bleeding, or changing lesions should be evaluated promptly. We assess concerning spots with dermatoscopic examination and clinical judgment to determine the need for biopsy or further treatment.
Patients referred by primary care providers are welcome for focused lesion evaluation.
When a lesion requires definitive diagnosis, we perform in-office biopsy using techniques tailored to the location and suspected diagnosis. All specimens are reviewed by board-certified dermatopathologists, with timely communication of results and clear treatment recommendations.
For confirmed or suspected melanoma and other high-risk skin cancers, we provide thorough evaluation and surgical planning tailored to tumor type and location.
We offer Mohs micrographic surgery for selective types of melanoma to ensure complete margin control while preserving healthy tissue in cosmetically and functionally sensitive areas.
We partner with referring physicians to provide expert surgical care and return patients to their primary dermatologist after treatment.
