Surgical Services

Expert treatment of skin cancers and other growths requiring surgical removal. Performed with precision, comfort, and attention to optimal healing.

While Mohs surgery is reserved for certain high-risk skin cancers, many skin cancers and benign growths can be effectively treated with standard excision and other in-office procedures.

Treatment recommendations are individualized based on the type, size, location, and risk profile of each lesion.

Standard surgical excision is often appropriate for low-risk basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas in select locations, and other malignant lesions that do not require Mohs surgery.

The lesion is removed with an appropriate margin and sent for pathologic evaluation.

We remove benign growths such as cysts, lipomas, and other symptomatic lesions when medically indicated or when they cause discomfort, irritation, or concern.

Electrodessication and curettage (ED&C) is an in-office treatment used for select superficial skin cancers and precancerous lesions. This technique is generally reserved for appropriately chosen, low-risk tumors.

Dermabrasion may be used in select cases to improve scar texture or surface irregularities following skin surgery.
